Starting our asia tour......... NHA TRANG

So after trekking across Ho Chi Minh town with our backpacks and realising how hard it is to carry these bloody things even tho we took a lot out! We reach our joining hotel for the start of the tour we are going to be on for the next 3 weeks - covering the rest of Vietnam, Laos and thailand!

We meet the group, jump on the tour bus and head to the train station for our first overnight train......

The sleeper train - it wasn't luxury but it was much better then we thought it was gunna be! The group was split into groups if fours and each group had a "room" with 4 "beds" it was basically like bunk beds on either side of the wall with a tiny gap in the middle! However the beds were clean and we were given a blanket and a pillow and we settled down for the night in our first class cabin.......

.....after a bumpy train ride we arrive in nha trang :) all quite tired after no sleep, get on a bus and head to the hotel..... We have a lovely hotel on the sea front! Although the location of the hotel is good the actually hotel was shocking ! But thankfully we are only there for one night!

We spent the first day watching the sunrise on the beach and going for a dip :) and relaxing in this lively restayrant we found with a pool on the sea front "Louisiana brew house " they brewed there own beer, we relaxed, swam and had a nap until around twelve midday then headed back to the hotel to grab some stuff and then made our way to the mud baths!

It was heaven, and so weird to sit in a bath of mud ! We sat in mud for around 30 mins then went and had a mineral bath ! It was like a really hot bath which they fill up for you :) it was soooo nice and just what we ended we sat in there fir around 1 hour, whilst we were in there it started raining ... Hard! But it just made if more relaxing we were under cover relaxing and just watching the rain come down, after our long soak we were invited to use the warm and cool mineral pools and the waterfall! So we took full advantage of that! A lovely afternoon was spent at these lovely relaxing mud baths :) we headed out that evening to Louisiana brew house for a lovely dinner overlooking the sea, it was over dinner that I started to feel quite ill :( and we also realised that despite it being overcast all day we had got quite badly burnt and unfortunately I had got sun stroke :( and felt rough as a dog, back to the hotel for rest and hydration.

Day 2 in nha trang - woke up feeling just as rough as the night before but decided to soldier on...... Today we plan to get the cable car over to vinpearl island - these able cars are the longest cable cars over water, we got there super early before they even started running and then headed over excited as this was labeled the "Disneyland" of Vietnam.

Riding the cable car was fun, but it was so hot in there so that did not help my sun stroke, anyway 13 minutes later we arrive on the island, wandered around, it seemed nothing special and I certainly wouldn't label it a Disneyland ! However I can imagine the locals thought it was amazing, we headed to the alpine coaster (see pic below) it goes to the top of the mountain and the you roll down it on this 2 seater sort of sledge thing on rollers and you control the speed! It was such fun and we had some great views :) we then headed to the water park, which to say was a Disappointment was an understatement we just walked through it, took some pics, had a swim on there beach and headed back, I felt so ill by this point, and we were disappointed in vin pearl island.

Back to the hotel for a rest before we set off on our next sleeper train to hoi an !
