Halong bay

We are up bright and early to leave the hotel for our 4 hour boat trip around halong bay, we grab breaky, the breakfast was ok but there were many Asian tourists and they talk so loudly and literally shout at each other from across the room which was getting on Luke's last nerve!! Anyway we head out to get our boat.....

......our boat is lovely, spacious and it even has a little sun deck which we are pleased about :) it's a really sunny morning which we are pleased about given yesterday's events we needed some sun and relax which is exactly what we got :) the views were absolutely stunning, they really take your breath away it's no wonder this place has been named the seventh wonder of the world, we take some lovely pics, so e ofthe group decide to go kyacking we give it a miss just wanting to relax and take in the scenery :) also that was an extra $10 each everywhere we go with the tour so far it's like they are trying to get more money off you which was annoying bit anyway we were y taking in the views.

We sail around and are shown a few of the famous limestones and then sail round to a cave! It was a long trek up a lot os stairs with various viewing platforms along the way and very beautiful inside :) we headed back to the boat for lunch which was actually very good compared to other lunches I have had on boats, I had the vegetarian option, still not eating meat, and it was scrummy lots of vegetables and so e nice but unusual sweet potato that was bright purple!

After lunch it seemed as though we were heading backa d we were :( we were a bit disappointed as we barely sailed round the limestone islands and we could see there was much more to be seen, it seemed we were rushed :( we really could of done with at least 2 days here but...... Although our journey here was awful we did think it worth it to see this beauty :) even if only for a short time. Halong bay we loved you :)
