Pippies beach house - rainbow beach :)

Feeling relieved to have left that god awful place in noosa, we hit the road on the greyhound, on the journey we stopped at a service statio where we came across a kangaroo (fake one!) that stood 13 feet and was quite an icon in oz! ....

We Were pleased to arrive at rainbow beach :) we were staying at pippies beach house we were going to be staying at a place called dingos which was next door which was also a nomads but at the last minute we changed our mines! Thank god, everyone from the bus was going there and it looked awful! We had picked well this time! Pippies beach house was nice, it was clean, it has a nice feel to it and the rooms were good, we were in a four bed dorm here and there was aircon!...

We checked in, and was told there was free wifi! Wooooohoooooo! However it wasn't very strong so we couldn't face time but we could research stuff! We chilled out for a bit in our room and then went to the local tackle shop to get a few bits as we hadn't seen a fishing shop for ages so decided to get what we needed just in case we didn't see one again for ages! We headed to the beach which was quite literally on our door step....

We took in the view for a bit and then decided to go back, we were going to swim but the current was so strong, and Luke had recently read that the current on the east coast of oz were one of the strongest In the world so I wasn't running to get in the water! and if it looked to strong we didn't go in! we were actually pretty hungry it was around 4pm but we hadn't cooked a good meal for a few days so decided we would go back and cook,we had veggies and mash with gravy and it was delicious :) 

That evening we went for a sunset walk with a guide from the hostel and some others, we headed up to the sand dunes where Luke tried sand boarding ! And then we watched a lovely sunset it was really pretty and lovely to just sit and watch :) ....

We met a girl in our room called Rebecca she lived in london and she was a air hostess for virgin and was on a 3 week holiday!  So we were chatting to her for while......she had got her flight to oz for £160! First class! She said she gets some good perks but the pay is really bad.....but she likes to travel so if you weigh it up it's quite a good job if you like to travel :) anyway we were all tired so went to bed around 10pm.

We woke up and didn't really have a lot of energy for some reason! I think it was the stress the last place had caused us! So we chilled out, did some washing and did yet more research and sent emails for the rest of our trip, we then took a wonder along the beach where Luke had a little fish but didn't have any luck :( and then went back and chilled out with a cuppa!

It was leaving day the next day.....we only stayed here for two nights as we had read there was nothing to do here, we weren't getting the bus until 12.30 so took this oppourtunity to use the free wifi! We really liked this two night stay it gave us a chance to recuperate and catch up on washing etc it was also a nice place to stay, we really enjoyed the sand dunes and sunset walk. 

Next stop Hervey Bay....... :)
